Norwegian Course B1: Become an Independent Speaker
What exactly defines an “intermediate level”? At this stage, we move beyond simple transactions and begin discussing life in Norwegian society in depth. Our Norwegian course B1 introduces over a dozen “new” topics: fundamental knowledge of Norwegian governance and the economy, and a significant look at Norwegian history—especially recent events. We dive into the complexities of the welfare state, immigration and emigration, mass media, and the natural environment.
To learn intermediate Norwegian effectively, you must acquire the ability to narrate a film or a book and talk about your home country with nuance. All of this requires a massive expansion of your vocabulary. While a dedicated “nerd” might try to memorize words alone, achieving the Norskprøve B1 level is much more than just repetition. Without a structured course, you run a high risk: Norwegians might not understand your opinions or your complex arguments because your sentence structure remains too basic or influenced by your native tongue.
This is why intermediate Norwegian for work and social integration is best mastered under professional supervision. By joining our Norwegian B1 exam preparation, you ensure that your “complex thoughts” are expressed with the correct grammar and flow. Don’t risk being misunderstood when the stakes are high—whether in a job interview or a community discussion. It is much better to sign up for a professional B1 course and bridge the gap to true independence.

Move from basic phrases to real conversations – Join our Norwegian course B1 and speak with confidence!
Worth knowing: at the B1 level, the subject matter becomes more abstract. The course helps you “jump” into new areas of vocabulary almost imperceptibly, which often results in chaos and misunderstanding by native speakers when learning independently.
